<itunes:summary>
Brian and I are going to try something new here. Since we just re-birthed the company and we’ve both started blogging…Brian’s first post will be out on Monday. We’ve also been talking about consolidating our online presence. I mean it’s great to have lots of websites, lots of places to find our awesome information. But we realize it could be confusing too. So over the next year we’re going to try and start moving the SEO 101 Podcast over. You may imagine that this is a somewhat simple task for a couple of ‘SEO guys’. I mean we could:

Simply 301 the podcast.neo1seo.com subdomain to shadetree / blog
We could start moving the older episodes over 1 at a time until they’re all over here.
Or we could cross-promote until the 2nd step is completed then simply leave a message up at the podcast sub-domain letting everyone know we’re over here.

Why am I explaining all of this? Because I’m sure I’d have gotten at least a dozen emails asking why we did it this way. Call it a preemptive explanation if you will. I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on the matter – but first let me explain my thinking. Currently, and for the past 7 yrs we’ve been the #1 search result for “SEO 101″ it’s our own little niche (and we love it) – and I don’t want to lose that spot. We also rank #1 on every data center I checked for “SEO Podcast” Which is another reason our listener count just keeps going up! over 80% of our Organic traffic (all of our traffic is Organic – that’s what we do, <insert snarky=practice what you preach>).

So you can see why I’m hesitant to simply 301 redirect and lose all of those schweet #1 SERP’s. I mean Brian and I just started the show back up again, and while I think we only get better with age – A lot of our listeners forgot that we’re here. So for the time being, the plan is to simulpost the podcasts both here and there. But David, what about the duplicate content filters? Fortunately that won’t effect us, using podpress to put the podcast in different areas and using different content when posting should help us out there.

So to wrap it up – You can expect to see our SEO 101 podcasts posted up here and they’ll be mixed with our regular posts. Oh and before I forget – In this podcast I’ve promised a link and here it is! #googleplusconspiracy
